Earlier this month I went to Tampa to meet with my coach and the other women entrepreneurs in my mastermind. It was awesome in every way.

Towards the end of the second day together, my coach made a comment that surprised me. We were all wearing face masks for the event and she said, “I am always managing my brain. With the masks, my brain can’t tell if you’re enjoying this. It keeps telling me that nobody likes this. I have to believe otherwise on purpose.”

I couldn’t believe it. My coach is a million-dollar coach. And her brain tells her that no one likes her and that what she’s doing isn’t good, too.

Do you see? This is what brains do.

It’s not you.

It’s just your brain.

You don’t have these thoughts because you aren’t capable.

You have them because your brain thinks you’re not.

You aren’t scared because you are inadequate.

You’re scared because your brain thinks you are.

You really have to understand the difference. And stop believing your brain. That’s how you get to do all the things you want to do.

This is how I help you. I show you that what your brain thinks is not the truth and not the only option. 

Sometimes thoughts seem so small and inconsequential that we wonder how they could really be keeping us from what we want. Surely, it has to be bigger and harder and more complicated than that. But it’s not. Managing your thoughts changes everything else in your life, but thinking something else takes attention, intention, and practice.

This is what I do in my coaching program—I show you how to be aware of your thoughts, adjust them, and then give you lots of help and guidance as you practice thinking in new ways. From these small shifts, everything starts to change. My next group starts on June 1st and I think you should be a part of it.
